Cafe Chicago Art Furniture Expo

New Date to Be Determined

Stay connected for more information from CAFE

We are so excited about the creation of the Chicago Art Furniture Exposition. Enthusiasm among artists, the community and professional organizations has been tremendous. Over the course of our planning, we have taken everyone’s feedback into account and after much consideration we will be postponing the show until a later date in 2014.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out with interest in being a part of CAFE and to those who have lent your support. We will continue to communicate with everyone (via our website, email list, and social media) regarding the new date as details are finalized. Wishing you a prosperous 2013 and looking forward to launching this new exposition in 2014!

-Paul Segedin
President & CEO of Chicago Art Furniture Exposition

About the Producer

Paul Segedin discovered craft at the 1995 American Craft Exposition in Evanston, Illinois. Attending the show with no particular expectations (really, he was just planning on killing some time) he was blown away by the glass, ceramics, metal, wood, and furniture he saw. It sparked a passion for collection in him and he's been smitten by craft and fine craft furniture ever since.

Segedin is a collector of craft and furniture, frustrated student of furniture making, and co-owner of the American Artisan craft gallery (1998-2000). Now he has taken his passion for craft and fine craft furniture and transformed it into a gift for the entire Chicago market by launching the premier Chicago Art Furniture Expo (CAFE).

Segedin has been a lifelong entrepreneur. He founded Real Estate Marketing Services in 1990. REMS provided marketing services for real estate professionals. The company is now called The Flyer Network and is owned by the Chicago Association of Realtors.

After selling REMS in 1997, Segedin founded ClasSearch.com, a web-based directory of recreational learning. In 1999, he started Chicago Learning Guide, a free, quarterly print magazine that promoted recreational learning in the Chicago-region. In 2001, ClasSearch.com merged with ClassesUSA.com and currently promotes higher education institutions. Chicago Learning Guide went online and national in 2007 and is now the LearningGuideNetwork.com. More than 30,000 schools, private instructors, tutors, and trainers promote their teaching of everything from Acting to Zumba and Music to Martial Arts.

Segedin lives in the West Rogers Park neighborhood of Chicago in a historic bungalow.
